This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for paid Acornote AI subscriptions. It applies to subscriptions purchased through the Acornote website using Paddle. If you purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's refund policy applies instead.
For a paid Acornote web subscription purchased through Paddle, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days after the payment date.
This policy applies to both an initial subscription purchase and a renewal payment. Your statutory consumer rights, including any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited, are not affected.
Send your request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your purchase. Please include:
We may ask for additional information reasonably necessary to locate the purchase and prevent fraud. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days.
Paddle is the merchant of record for web purchases made through Paddle. If a refund is approved, it is returned to the original payment method. Paddle may review a live refund request before it is completed, and your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the returned funds.
When a refund is completed, access to the refunded paid subscription may end immediately. Paddle may send you a credit note or other refund record by email.
Except where required by applicable law, payments requested more than 14 calendar days after the payment date are not normally refundable. We may still review exceptional circumstances, such as a duplicate charge, an unauthorized payment, or a material service issue.
Requesting a refund does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please also cancel renewal as described below if you do not want future charges.
You can cancel a Paddle web subscription before its next renewal using the subscription-management link in your Paddle receipt email or through any Acornote billing-management option that is made available to you.
Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the relevant store, not Paddle. Refund requests, cancellation, payment disputes, and any applicable store-specific rules must be handled through the relevant store's account or support process.
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first so we can investigate. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute does not prevent us from responding through the applicable payment process, and may result in temporary restriction of access while the matter is reviewed.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our products, payment methods, or legal obligations. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. The policy in effect when you made a purchase generally applies to that purchase, unless a change is required by law.
